Mr. Tran Xuan Loc was from Phu Loc district, Thua Thien Hue. He joined the revolution in 1945, and was sent to Ha Tinh for study in in 1949. In 1950, he joined the Vietnam People's Army.
In January 1954, on the occasion of the Vietnam-China-Soviet friendship month, the Government launched an emulation movement among the whole population, and at the same time, under the direction of President Ho Chi Minh, each soldier was allocated a water mug with the words “Determined to fulfill the task”, “The resistance is certain to win”. This is a gift of great significance showing Uncle Ho's concern to timely encourage the army to overcome many difficulties to complete well the task.
At the beginning of 1954, Mr. Tran Xuan Loc, now working at Company 264 of the Central Military Intelligence Department stationed in Quang Tri, was honored to receive a water mug. He has kept it carefully, until April 23, 2000, and gave it back to the Ho Chi Minh Museum of Thua Thien Hue.
